About MayDay 2025

Every day, early childhood educators shape the minds and hearts of our youngest generation. They’re more than teachers—they're emotional anchors, nurturers, and safe spaces for children during the most critical years of brain development.

But who’s caring for them?

Stress, burnout, and lack of support are taking a toll on educators’ mental health—and when they’re not well, children feel it. Studies show that an educator's emotional wellbeing directly affects a child’s ability to learn, trust, and thrive—not just in preschool, but for life. It influences how they regulate emotions, form relationships, and build resilience well into adulthood.

Mayday is a call for care.

• yoga and gym memberships

• group mental health services

• other self-care resources for early childhood educators who give so much.

Because when teachers heal, children flourish.
